Obituary for Mrs. Virginia M. Sciacca
Virginia M. Sciacca, 88 years old, of West Palm Beach, FL died on Friday, February 26, 2010 in the Jay Robert Lauer Hospice at JFK Medical Center. Born in Jamesburg, NJ, she was a longtime resident of the Palm Beach area and an active member of St. Juliana Catholic Church. Mrs. Sciacca enjoyed serving as a Volunteer with Hospice of Palm Beach County for over 20 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel B. Sciacca who died in 1998.
She is survived by three daughters, Antoinette Hansen, Rose Jean Kufferman (Ralph), and Mary Ann Saunders (Gary) all of the Greater West Palm Beach area; eight grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; and four great great grandchildren. Additional survivors include two brothers, John DeLorenzo (Esther) of Naples, FL, and William DeLorenzo (Gail) of Forked River, NJ; a sister, Roseanne Moore (Tom) of Cocoa Beach, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends today, Sunday, February 28, 2010 from 3:00 until 6:00 p.m. at Quattlebaum Funeral Home, 1201 South Olive Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33401. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, March 1, 2010 at St. Juliana Catholic Church, West Palm Beach, FL, with the interment to follow at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Cemetery, Royal Palm Beach, FL.
